Fender Premium Edition American Ultra II Guitars and Basses

The Fender American Ultra II series, comprising four guitar models and an equal number of bass guitars, fills the gap between classic Fender designs and the modern instruments usually associated with the Charvel, EVH or Jackson subsidiaries. The American Ultra II series may be the ideal choice for players who love the iconic look and sound of Fender guitars but prefer the capabilities of modified instruments that are suitable for playing across genres, from neo-soul and jazz to funk and metal.

The entire collection uses quartersawn maple necks, which improve mechanical stability. New D-profiles, Ultra Satin lacquer for easy hand movement and an ergonomically designed joint with the alder body ensure playing comfort. The rear section of the body has more pronounced contours to sit more comfortably on the player's body and allow easy access to higher positions.

Ebony or maple fingerboards fitted with medium jumbo frets feature rounded edges, a variable radius of 10" – 14", GraphTech TUSQ nut and, for the first time in the manufacturer's history, side dots made of luminescent material. The guitars boast locking tuners, while the bass guitars have opted for lightweight tuners with tapered shafts and a proven HiMass bridge with the option of string-through or top-load string anchoring.

The sound is transmitted by the brand new single-coil pickups from Ultra II Noiseless Series or Haymaker humbuckers, providing a wide range of tones, from crystal-clear sounds with smooth highs to aggressive-sounding, fully saturated registers with long sustain. Regarding the electronics, the developers decided to enhance the flexibility of all models with the S1 switch located in the volume potentiometer.

All representatives of the series have glossy urethane finish and pickguards made of anodized aluminium in silver matte black or gold finish (depending on the colour of the instrument). They are also equipped with a treble bleed circuit which eliminates the loss of higher frequencies and keeps the tone transparent even at lower volumes. Official European prices, including the deluxe hard case, start at around 2650 euros.
