Fender Susan Tedeschi Signature Telecaster

The alder body covered in gloss polyurethane lacquer is complemented by a one-piece maple neck fitted with a slim Tedeschi-C profile and satin finish, while the 9.5-inch radius rosewood fretboard carries 22 medium jumbo frets and a 42mm wide bone walnut fretboard. The sound is held by a pair of specially designed Custom Susan Tedeschi Single-Coil Tele pickups controlled by a three-position toggle switch, a common volume potentiometer and a more advanced Master TBX tone pot.

The Fender TBX (Treble Bass Expander) circuit, which expands the resulting tonal palette, consists of a dual potentiometer with 250 kOhm and 1 MOhm resistors, a 0.022 mF foil capacitor and a 0.25 W resistor. From zero to about halfway through, the TBX acts as a standard tone pot, after which the resistance is reduced and more bass, treble, presence and output are sent to the amp.

Strings anchored through the body pass through a more modern Tele-style bridge with steel block stones and head into the company's all-metal tuning machines combined with an EH string retainer. Metal components are covered in a layer of nickel and chrome, and the screw cavity for the neck bracing adjuster is placed on the headstock, as on most current Fender guitars.

The official price of the Fender Susan Tedeschi Signature Telecaster is just under 2,200 euros, including a high-quality Fender Deluxe hard case with a black velvet interior. The instrument is likely to be available on the European market in August.
