With SE P20E PL Acoustic, PRS Caters for Female Guitarists
With the limited edition of the SE P20E PL electroacoustic, Paul Reed Smith also caters to musically talented ladies—at least those who prefer typically feminine shades. The front soundboard of the model from the popular collection is sprayed with a pastel Pink Lotus lacquer, which could please especially female guitarists looking for a less common compact instrument with high-quality workmanship and a very reasonable price tag.
In terms of construction, the “Pink Lotus” Parlor guitar is no different from the classic SE P20E versions, which means that the base of the body is laminated mahogany and the top is made of solid mahogany—similarly as the neck with the Wide Fat profile. The ebony fretboard carries 20 frets, “birdie” fretboard markers, and a bone nut. Ebony and bone can also be found at the base and saddle of the bridge, and the sound system is provided by the Fishman GT1 pickup system.
The European price has been set at around EUR 560 including the company’s gig bag, and a total of 2,500 pieces from this special collection will be launched on the global market. The attached video might suggest more than the opening photo.
