Czech singer Maella Among the Finalists of the Music Moves Europe Awards 2025

This year's Music Moves Europe Awards (MME Awards) have revealed their fifteen nominees. Czech singer Maella is one of them. According to the organisers, the selected artists represent the most interesting acts that the current European music scene has to offer.

Mallea, the only representative of the Czech music scene in the MME Awards, is the stage name of Czech singer-songwriter and producer Michaela Charvátová. This distinctive musician is based in London, where she also studied songwriting and production. As the organisers state, Maella captivates listeners with her hypnotic voice rooted in the dark world of her ambient music.

The 15 finalists have been selected from all corners of Europe: Boko Yout (Sweden), Daniela Pes (Italy), HILLARI (Norway), Joalin (Finland), Judeline (Spain), Kingfishr (Ireland), Loverman (Belgium), Mina Okabe (Denmark), Naomi Sharon (Netherlands), Night Tapes (Estonia), UCHE YARA (Austria), Woomb (Bulgaria), Yamê (France) and Zimmer90 (Germany).

As the official music awards of the European Union, the Music Moves Europe Awards (MME Awards) seek out and support emerging artists who embody "the European sound of today and tomorrow." The MME Awards aim to support extraordinary talents in their international careers. Over the past twenty years, artists such as Zaho de Sagazan, Stromae, Alyona Alyona, ROSALÍA, Meduza, Dua Lipa, Sans Soucis, Hozier and Christine and the Queens have won an MME Award.

Prize package and public choice award

MME Awards nominees can succeed in several categories. The competition has already launched the public vote whose winner will receive a special MME Public Choice Awards 2025 and prize money of 5,000 euros. You can vote online at https://mmeawards.eu/en/.

However, the core of the competition is to impress the international jury whose members will select the five winners and one artist will be awarded the Grand Jury Prize. Each winner will receive 10,000 euros, and the winner of the Grand Prix will receive an additional five thousand euros and a voucher for a green tour. The winners will be announced at the MME Awards Ceremony on Thursday 16 January 2025 at the ESNS Conference in Groningen, the Netherlands.

Live on ESNS

All fifteen nominees are invited to attend the ESNS Festival in Groningen, The Netherlands, as well as the MME Education Programme with top music industry experts, organised by ESNS and MME Awards partners Liveurope, Yourope, Live DMA, IMPALA, Digital Music Europe, ICMP-CIEM, International Music Managers Forum (IMMF) and European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE).

The MME Awards is a European Union project to support and promote the European music industry. It aims to support emerging artists and industry professionals as well as foster the diversity of the European music scene.
