Rig Rundown: Guido Joseph (Chef’Special)
Chef´Special performed on February 17 at Rock Café in Prague, and our magazine was on the scene. What does this unique Dutch indie pop band, which isn’t afraid to mix in elements of hip-hop, rock, or reggae, use on stage? Radek Pavlovič asked and Jimmy Puda was behind the camera.
Our questions were directed at the band’s talented guitarist, Guido Joseph. His stage setup features the Neural DSP Quad Cortex multi-effect unit. Gradually, he began using more delay effects – and especially reverb effects. In the video, he explains the configuration of his gear. He loves Les Paul guitars, and in his usual setup, all his pedals are arranged in loops.
The rig rundown recording with Chef´Special took place in cooperation with the Colours of Ostrava festival. In its 22nd edition, which will be held this year from July 16 to 19, artists such as Sting, Shaggy, Iggy Pop, Justice, Noga Erez, Calin, Snow Patrol, Alvaro Soler, Sofi Tukker, J.A.R., and The Chainsmokers will perform.
