Headless signature Ibanez MGFM10-OBL

Ibanez built the MGFM10 signature model for German prog rock guitarist Manuel Gardner Fernandes, who plays in a style that uses a percussive technique, based on the Quest headless series. The nyatoh body carries a quilted maple top. In contrast, the three-piece roasted maple neck and Parallel Wizard bubinga profile are followed by a heat-treated quilted maple fretboard with mother-of-pearl and luminescent dot inlays and 24 jumbo stainless steel frets. A Mono-Tune bridge, two Q58 passive ceramic humbuckers and a dyna-MIX10 system are used. The price of the Obsidian Black Low Gloss model is around 1,300 dollars.

Fender Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster

As part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Monster Hunter video game series, Fender has prepared a special version of the Rathalos Telecaster, which will be available in standard or limited edition, exclusively sold at the brand's flagship store in Tokyo starting from March next year. Both variants feature graphics referencing the dragons that are one of the main characters of Japanese action fantasy games, which is also recalled by the inlays on the octave position of the rosewood fretboard and the large emblem on the back of the alder body. Distinguished from the classic Telecaster by the single-coil bridge plus Rathalos neck humbucker and black hardware, the instruments come with a stylish case and certification.

Dunlop Supreme Cry Baby: wah-wah pedal by Dave Navarro

Guitarist Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers) has partnered with Jim Dunlop and New York-based clothing brand Supreme, specializing in streetwear, skateboarding and hip-hop fashion. The result is the Supreme Cry Baby wah-wah pedal, based on the classic Dunlop GCB95 model equipped with a Fasel coil, whose chassis has been given a facelift in a dark red metallic shade and the red rubber covering the footplate is adorned with a white Supreme logo. Aside from the wah-wah, which stands out a mile, the Supreme brand flashed in the music industry seven years ago when it launched the Supreme Stratocaster version together with Fender.

UAFX Enigmatic ’82 Overdrive Special Amp modeller

Universal Audio has bolstered its effects offerings with the Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp, a digital pedal that emulates the sound of Howard Dumble's legendary amps, among the most expensive and desirable guitars. In addition to the default amp voicing mods (the 70s, 80s and 90s versions), you can create your own Custom Preset on the platform using the Classic / Skyline tone stacks, the "Hot Rubber Monkey" preamp modification and other features. A trio of 1x12/2x12 box simulations are directly accessible, the other six virtual cabinets include editing apps (iOS, Android), USB-C port, Bluetooth and dual inputs and outputs.

Mooer Air P05 wireless system

An affordable wireless system consisting of a small transmitter and receiver with swing jack connectors, it operates in the 2.4 GHz band, has a 20-meter action radius, low harmonic distortion and four channels to choose from. Latency is around 7 ms, the frequency range is 20 Hz – 20 kHz and the circuit handles 16-bit/48kHz quality signals. Of course, there is an automatic shutdown mode and the power is supplied by a 400 mAh battery with about 8 hours of continuous operation, rechargeable via the USB-C port. Price: 46 dollars including USB-C cable.

WA-C1 and Pedal76: chorus and compressor from Warm Audio

Texas-based Warm Audio has earned a reputation among guitarists for its excellent replicas of iconic and now often out-of-production effects, including the famous Boss CE-1 modulation, whose counterpart the brand now offers in the form of the WA-C1 analogue chorus/tremolo with expanded controls, BBD's MN3007 Xvive chip and a more compact chassis. The second new addition is the Pedal76 model, inspired by the studio's vintage Urei 1176 compressor, prized for its warm musical expression. Warm Audio used FET circuitry and premium components here, including a custom CineMag transformer.

Epiphone Grabber Bass: the rebirth of the Gibson of the 1970s

The Epiphone Grabber Bass is a reissue of a classic Gibson model from the 1970s, played by Gene Simmons, Krist Novoselic, Mike Dirnt and Lou Barlow, to name a few. The 34-inch standard-length scale bass features an alder body, maple neck and a fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets and a 41mm-wide nut. The company's humbucker delivers massive low-end and tight, punchy mids, in addition to volume and tone controls integrated with a mini switch that unzips the pickup coils. The instrument in Ebony or Natural finishes comes with a premium gig bag. Price: approx. 1000 euros.

Alesis Nitro Pro electronic kit

After the successful Nitro and Nitro Max models, Alesis has also started offering a more luxurious Nitro Pro edition, which, like its predecessors, includes everything a drummer needs to learn, practice, jam and record while taking this edition to the next level. The eight-piece electronic drum set with mesh membranes now features a deeper 10-inch snare, dual-zone toms, an eight-inch bass pad for easier dual pedal placement, and a more solid steel frame. The Pro Module with wireless Bluetooth, USB/MIDI and other connectivity features 36 BFD kits, over 500 sounds, a sequencer, a recorder, etc. Also included in the kit, priced at about 800 euros, are BD and hi-hat pedals.

Roland Juno-D 6, 7 and 8 synths

Roland is returning to the Juno-D synth with an upgraded range including D 6/7/8 variants, i.e. models equipped with a keyboard with 61, 76 or 88 keys. The series now uses the Zen-Core multitimbral engine, some features from the top-of-the-range Fantom keyboards have been adopted, more than 3,800 sounds have been prepared, including classic synths, pianos, organs, vintage Roland models and percussion instruments, and custom patches can also be created and played thanks to sample import. The USB-C port can be used to play tracks from a smartphone or to power up, and an audio/MIDI interface, microphone input, effects section, arpeggiator, and sequencer are integrated, and the user gets access to free packets. Prices start at around 1000 euros.

Behringer RS-9 rhythm sequencer

Behringer is preparing for mass production of the RS-9 rhythm sequencer, based on the company's RD-9 groove box. The model, a prototype of which was first introduced two years ago, is likely to hit the market at the end of the year, however, some shops should already be taking pre-orders. The sequencer has 10 tracks, 64 steps per pattern and storage for 16 tracks / 256 patterns. Each track has trigger and accent outputs for external modules, there are MIDI In/Out DIN jacks, analogue sync jacks, reset input and a USB-C port. The RS-9 has space for 64 patterns and 16 tracks, Auto Scroll support etc. is standard. Price: approx. 150 euros.
