Zoom MS-90LP+: Compact and Flexible Multi-effect with 13-hour Looper

The MS-90LP+ Multistomp Looper pedal from Zoom is a multifunctional device combining a generous looper and a complex effects processor, offering a wide range of possibilities for creative work with music. Thanks to its features, the new product can become a perfect choice for guitarists, bassists and other musicians looking for a flexible preamp/multi-effect for live playing, home recording or experimenting with sound without having to sacrifice too much precious pedalboard space. In addition, the MS-90LP+ scores not only with its pocket size or a pair of A/D converters for different input signal strengths, but also with an interesting price/performance ratio.

The looper has storage for about 13 hours of recording, which is more than enough capacity for solo tracks and complex arrangements of larger musical pieces. The user will appreciate the clear controls, unlimited loop layering (1 stereo loop = max. 90 min.), Undo/Redo functions that allow you to easily remove a wrong layer or return to the original loop version, and last but not least, quantization to ensure that the recorded loops match the tempo of the song. Loops can also be enhanced with any of the eight Loop FX, including Reverse, Half Speed, Hold or Tape Stop.

All types of more massively used effects such as delays, reverbs, chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo and other modulations, filters, pitch shifters, harmonizers, etc. are integrated, and up to 6 blocks can be combined simultaneously to create complex sound chains. The bank includes a hundred factory presets with the option to save your own settings, and, of course, there's tap tempo for real-time synchronization of delays, modulations and loops.

The MS-90LP+ is equipped with a high-resolution colour LCD display for easy navigation between effects, looper and other sections, four multi-function encoders are used for quick and easy parameter adjustments, and a total of five footswitches cater for triggering loops, effects, a rhythm unit with 68 patters and for navigating through the preset bank.

Dual inputs and outputs are installed, operating in mono, stereo or true stereo modes, which means that it will not be a problem either to interface with keyboards, PA systems or mixing consoles, where the Output Split function can come in handy, splitting the loop and recorded track signal into separate outputs. MIDI communication is handled by a pair of stereo minijacks located on the front of the chassis, where there's also a 9V adapter connector, a USB-C port (5V power supply, data import/export, etc.), and a hidden slot for two AA batteries at the bottom.

With a multitude of effects, an advanced looper, simple controls and solid performance at an affordable price, the Zoom MS-90LP+ is the perfect model for beginners and experienced musicians alike. If you're looking for a versatile device that covers your needs for effects processor and looper (WAV audio format, 32-bit/44.1 kHz), the MS-90LP+ is definitely worth considering. The official European price is around 200 euros.
